Helium 3 found in moon soil
12.23.04 (7:59 am)   [edit]

This is a little late coming but at last I have time to share the good news. Lunar soil is extremly rich in Helium 3. Helium 3 is the primary source of fuel for laboratory fusion reactions. Scientist theorize that within eight years reactor technology will be advanced enough that a single cargo load of lunar soil could provide electricity for the United States for a year.

Although this is not a perfect solution it is certainly reason for holiday cheer!

Interesting Discovery in Books-a-million
12.13.04 (11:45 am)   [edit]

I was spending a morning in books-a-million the other day when I made an interesting discovery. It appears that the function that most craft users call spell craft is really an all encompassing definition of the new age phenomonen. Essentially spell craft is manipulation of internal energy or external energy. Obviously there are many ways of doing this. Meditation for instance uses the power of concentration to modify internal energy iether in the form of sub-concience travel or through shokra manipulation. Conversly Pychics use their energy to connect with or affect the energy of others. Spell weavers, be they wiccan or chanter try to affect both internal and external energy through various methods. It is interesting to see the ever unifying weave of new age culture becoming more solid

Self: A work in progress
12.04.04 (8:06 am)   [edit]
We are always changing you know. Many people have tried to figure out why we keep changing. Sartre called it being doomed to be free. The reason that it has recently become inportant though, is because we have lost control of the flux. Normally I make an effort to change and sort test out a new set of ideas. But I didn't choose to become a minimalist it just happened very strange and somewhat unsettling. However we have chosen not to fight it. Perhaps embracing it will lead to happiness, we will just have to see wont we.

Solar Flares
11.30.04 (6:44 am)   [edit]
Solar Flare activity since July 2004 remains unusual!
That is the headline if I had to make one. Scientist have reported that the large
sunspots that appeared in July (which spawned the flares that damage telstar 4)caused even
more powerful flares on the other side of the sun. Most noteably in October when an X28 was recorded. This record breaking flare far out shines the former record of an X20. As solar minimum rolls in watch out for possible attacks on this side.

In a perhaps related story, radio communications have taken a huge hit since early November. Short wave and ham (amatuer radio) bands with traditional ranges of 500 to 600 miles have been reduced to under 60 and AM bands with ranges of 60 to 70 miles have been reduced to as little as 10. Although the cause is yet unknown it is fair to say that should these trends continue it may lead to wide spread communications breakdowns.
